Classic Hits KQNK AM 1530/FM 106.7 – Norton, KS – Alfalfa School

An Alfalfa Production Update will be held regarding alfalfa growing and some economics in comparing corn, alfalfa and equitable leases with alfalfa.  Join K-State Research and Extension and Twin Creeks Extension District for an informal meeting on Alfalfa Production. This meeting will take place on next Thursday at the Norton County 4-H Building in Norton, Kansas starting at 6:30 pm.   The featured speakers are Jim Shroyer, Kansas State University Extension Specialist, Crop Production and Dan O’Brien, K-State Ag Economist.  Topics to be covered include: Production Practices, Fertility, Cutting Management, Stand Establishment, Weed Control, Insects and Diseases. Economic topics will include farm management data on alfalfa production versus corn and equitable leasing arrangements.  We must have a minimum of 10 participants RSVP to host the meeting.
