While everyone’s playing around with computer generated ASCII art, British artist Keira Rathbone takes a more classic route in creating images out of typed characters. In fact, there’s no computer involved. She instead uses a typewriter to create her artwork out of coordinated taps on the ‘keyboard’.
In days when patience is scarce and short cuts are plenty, Keira seems to be challenging digital art with traditional fine art. Her artworks range from portraits to landscapes and architecture. There’s great detail in her pieces, and the uneven distribution of ink in each printed letter makes it all the more captivating.
With silversmith and jewellery training, Keira Rathbone lives and works out of London. Check out all of here type art, and paintings at keirarathbone.com
