Master typographer Tony Di Spigna will give a talk on the designing and execution of Letterforms and Typographic design, including Corporate identity and other communication design projects, spanning 40 years of his professional work. The event is free.
Born on the island of Ischia, Italy, Di Spigna was a partner in the legendary studio of Lubalin Associates where he worked on all aspects of visual communication and graphic design. He has achieved international recognition for his letterform and typographic designs including exclusive newly designed corporate typefaces and logos. Di Spigna’s work has won numerous awards and has been written in many books and trade publications. He has taught at The School of Visual Arts and continues to teach at The New York Institute of Technology and Pratt Institute where he was given the institute-wide Distinguished Professor Award.
