New York Graphic Design firm | Alfalfa Studio » A Beautiful Pile-Up ...

For a long time, I’ve been a fan of Paul Davis, the witty British illustrator. His simple drawings, which often come with funny writing, along with his “disarmingly direct use of materials” never fail to make me laugh.

Londoners will have to opportunity to see his work up-close and personal later this month at The Coningsby Gallery.

Paul Davis’ show titled “A Beautiful Pile-Up” will have hundreds of drawings in archived boxes. Like most of Davis’ personal work, “the subject matter is an attempt to understand the complicated reality of day to day living; love, sex, anger, work, money, people, madness and the other usual subjects…”
The show’s press release says the many drawings “…will be sold employing a new fiscal strategy first cited just before the world markets came crashing down; the accurately named ‘the-munificent-double-dip-recessional-knock-down-generosity-price-structure-©; otherwise known as the cash flow problematic…”

A Beautiful Pile-Up runs from April 17th through April 21st, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday-Friday.
