Alfalfa Questions - Chronicle Forums

I have two questions about alfalfa since we are using very dry alfalfa right now.

1. Is it ok to soak in water before giving to horses? (I was told the water run-off has all the nutrients, so it should not be soaked...but don't believe it)

2. Does sunlight destroy the nutrition in Alfalfa? (I was told it did, and not to feed alfalfa in the paddocks, only stall...also, I don't believe this)
