Alfalfa Leaf has been referred to as the "all around herb," and for good reason. Alfalfa packs a punch when it comes to vitamins and minerals. Alfalfa is considered to be one of the GREEN FOODS, and is a nice addition to smoothies.

Alfalfa is an alkalizing herb, and a vital component in Spirit Herbs Alkalizing Tea. Alfalfa is available in our shop (Spirit Herbs Realm) in whole leaf, powder, capsule, or tinctured varieties. Sprouting, however is my preferred ritual for enjoying all the health benefits (and it tastes good too!) of this wholesome herb. No other time in a plants life is it more nutrient dense than in the sprouted stage.

Vitamin and Mineral Content: Vitamin A, B2, B3, B6, B12, C, D, E, G, K, U, Aluminum, Calcium, Fluorine, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Silicon, Sulfur, Sodium, and Trace Minerals.

Your started kit comes complete with 2 full ounces of Organic Alfalfa Sprouting Seed and an eco-friendly hemp sprouting bag. That's all you need.

GROWING HEALTHY SPROUTS:
Sprouting is fun and easy.

1. Simply soak your seeds over night in chlorine free water. Be sure that your vessel is large enough to hold two parts water for every one part of seed. You will not need much, as alfalfa seed multiplies to 10 times or more its original size when in the seed stage. About a tablespoon of seed is a fair amount to start.

2. In the morning dump you seeds water and all into the Hemp Sprouting Bag. Pull the draw-string to secure.

3. Rinse your sprouts well under cool running water (non-chlorinated), and continue this procedure each night an morning.

4. Place your sprout bag away from sunlight where there is a constant moderate temperature (about 60-70) for 3-5 days.

5. Once your sprouts appear to be of the correct size, you can exposed them to sunlight for about an hour. This will allow the sprouts to "green-up".

6. Enjoy! Sprouts can be refrigerated for several days, so long as they are well ventilated. You may continue to rinse your sprouts each day, if you like. This helps to keep them fresh and hydrated.
